CLSU AAI Meets with PEAA; Presents Future Plans

To bolster the relationship between the CLSU administration and the CLSU Alumni Association Incorporated (AAI), a consultative meeting with the newly-installed President, Dr. Evaristo A. Abella, was conducted last January 4, 2024, at the Administration Building Conference Room.

Dr. Romeo T. Padilla, CLSU AAI President, first expressed his congratulatory message to President Abella and informed him of the plans of CLSU AAI in the coming years. Afterwards, Dr. Teotimo M. Aganon presented their plans and their 7-point agenda which include: 1) Build stronger partnerships that will continue to nurture the culture of innovation; 2) Development of an agrotourism farm model; 3) Establishment of a ‘student village’ that will house less fortunate but talented students; 4) Consultancy for agriculture, aquaculture and allied fields productivity enhancement; 5) Expanded scholarship program covering students and CLSU personnel; 6) Sensitivity to national issues that will address national concerns that affect the daily grind of people’s lives; and 7) Development of a masterplan for the CLSU Alumni Complex.

President Abella responded positively to the plans and requests shared during the sit-down discussion and ensured the association that the present administration would be supportive of their initiatives.
